Private piano lessons with theory instruction and ear training. I teach all ages... 4 years through high school and presently also have 4 adult students. One of my adult students played in my final recital and was a big hit. I teach everyday of the week, usually in the afternoons. I have a very nice waiting room with a private side entrance. I am located in the Cotswold area, within walking distance of Cotswold Elementary and Randolph Middle School. Cotswold is very convenient to many neighborhoods in the Charlotte area.

mission statement

  meet the teacher

I have been teaching piano out of my home for many years and I am a very exprerienced teacher. I prepare my students to participate in all available competitions and festivals, such as NC Federation of Music Clubs Festival, NCMTA and National Guild of Piano Teachers. Twice yearly, I offer a master class in which all students who wish participate by performing 3 pieces of their choice. At the end of the Piano Instruction calendar (June), I have a final recital. Pieces by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Kabalevsky, Baliotti, Mozart, Moszkowsky, and Mendelssohn were performed at the most recent recital. One of my students, Gianfranco Rigial, performed one of his own compositions. My students have several other opportunities to perform including, nursing homes, ASID Symphony Designer House, and Southern Christmas Show. In the last several years, I have become interested in teaching students with special needs. All of these experiences have helped me grow as a teacher.
